Pressing Matrix

Strength from all angles.

 
Kettlebells USA is my bell of choice – the feel and balance of these bells is undeniable and gets me stoked to train.
 
To build the bent and military press, I like to attack pushing movements from all angles. By varying movements in this “pressing matrix,” one can maximize time under tension for an advanced conditioning of the shoulder girdle.
 
I’ll throw this matrix in after my heavy pressing days for a little extra burn. Try 3-4 sets per side:
 
1. Pump Press
2. Side Press
3. Bent Press
4. Power Jerk
 
Maintain tension throughout each movement; focusing on tensed glutes, abdominals, and a packed lat and shoulder.
