Show up

It’s as simple as that. Take note of what is serving you, how you can be better, and how you can positively affect the world around you.

It’s too easy to put off that task for another day, say “oh just one more bite,” or prolong toxic relationships. I have found beauty in the realization of pain. When the pain of not changing weighs on the heart, we create self-realization of what must be done.

How can we do this in a world confounded by consumerism, nutrition dogma, and superficiality? The answer is this: SHOW UP EVERYDAY. Experiment with what works for you. Consult a coach who has been there and helped others. Take mental note of how positive action makes you feel, and deeply reflect each night before bed.

You must give 100% of your action to improving the aspects of your life that aren’t serving you. You can start small: practice the piano for 20 minutes a day, read one chapter per week, study your course each morning before work, complete 100 pushups a day, drink half your bodyweight in ounces… These are simple actions. YOU JUST HAVE TO DO THEM.

Over time, effort accumulates. I tell all my clients that my goal for them is to start small. When they see how their proaction starts to change their mindset, they want to continue on their noble path. YOU CAN DO THIS. You just need the ammunition to decimate stagnation and laziness.
